Environment, health and safety requirements

Nord Gas Solutions is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, as well as to improving our performance to reduce adverse environmental impact. We expect equal commitment from our suppliers.

Prohibited and restricted substances and materials

The use of hazardous substances in materials and chemicals is limited by various country legislations and international agreements. Hazardous substances may at some point of their life cycle - during extraction, production, use, or finally as waste - cause harm to human health, human rights or the environment. Nord Gas Solutions must eliminate and restrict certain hazardous substances in its products to comply with these regulations, and provide its customers with information on hazardous substances found in the products. This information can only be collected with the help of Nord Gas Solutions' suppliers.

Black and Grey list

The Nord Gas Solutions Black and Grey list indicates the substances classified as restricted and prohibited at Nord Gas Solutions. As the Black and Grey list does not correspond to national regulations, the most restrictive limitations of the national regulations and of the Black and Grey list shall be in force. Suppliers should regularly check for updates to the Black and Grey list. Download the Nord Gas Solutions Black and Grey list here.

Suppliers shall inform Nord Gas Solutions if any of the articles within the supply includes Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) above 0.1% weight by weight, as defined in the REACH legislation.

Conflict minerals

The supplier shall certify and ensure that no "conflict minerals", including tin, tantalum, tungsten or gold originated in conflict-affected or high-risk areas, are procured or contained in the supply, including those from its own suppliers.

Products can be reported as "conflict free" if:

• they do not contain tin, tantalum, tungsten or gold (3TGs)

• any of the 3TGs does not originate from the Democratic Republic of Congo or the adjoining countries

• it can be determined that the 3TGs originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo or the adjoining countries do not finance armed groups
