The Controls Are An Integral Part Of The Plant
The NGS Control System (Nord Gas Solutions Control System) is the control and safety system that runs the gas handling plant. Nord Gas Solutions designs and delivers gas handling plants for ships - cargo handling, fuel gas supply, reliquefaction and regasification - and delivers the controls that operate them.
The control logic of the NGS Control System is written by Nord Gas Solutions' own gas process engineers on a proven Siemens SIMATIC® industrial platform. The NGS Control System runs on its own controllers, with its own independent safety layer. That means the gas process keeps operating even if the vessel's Integrated Automation System (IAS) is unavailable, and it means one supplier is accountable for the gas plant and its controls, for the life of the vessel.

190+ NGS Control Systems are in operation on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), ammonia and liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers and on gas-fuelled vessels.*

The NGS Control System is engineered by the same specialists who design your cargo and fuel gas systems. The control logic is written in-house by Nord Gas Solutions gas process engineers - not a generic automation package configured by a third party, and not a process design reinterpreted by someone who did not create it.
